Position Summary:

The Branch Manager leads and manages the daily operations of the branch, ensuring the delivery of high-quality member services, the achievement of sales goals, and the maintenance of operational excellence.

Location:

1650 S. Eagle Rd., Meridian, ID 83642

Schedule:

Average of 36-40 hours within a Monday through Saturday work week.


Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.


Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

To help support a work-life balance, team members who work a Saturday shift may be scheduled for a full or half weekday off, based on business needs

Travel Requirements:

Ability and willingness to travel up to 35 miles to provide coverage and collaborate with regional branches.

Leadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of Member Advisors and an Assistant Manager. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth Set performance goals, conduct regular check-ins, and implement development plans for staff.

Member Service:

Proactively interact with members to form relationships of trust. Work collaboratively and clearly communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve member questions and discrepancies and to provide effective problem resolution. Ability to adapt to each situation and continuously find options or solutions for members to ensure Westmark is the best place for them to achieve their financial goals and dreams. Ensure exceptional service delivery to all members, addressing their financial needs and providing personalized solutions. Resolve complex member issues and complaints promptly and effectively. Encourage the promotion and cross-selling of credit union products and services to meet member's needs and achieve branch sales goals. Able to assist members with all transaction, account, and loan requests.

Operational Excellence:

In collaboration with the Assistant Branch Manager, oversee daily branch operations, including security and compliance with credit union policies and regulatory requirements. Provide operational guidance and approvals in order to allow branch employees to effectively provide service to members. Monitor and manage branch budgets, expenses, and financial performance.

Sales and Relationship Development:

Develop and implement strategic plans to grow branch membership, deposits, and loan portfolios. Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote the credit union and identify growth opportunities. Work with the Relationship Development department to conduct outreach and participate in community events to enhance the Westmark's presence and reputation.

Team Development:

Coach and develop team members to provide excellent member service and effective sales skills. Encourage a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Provide learning and growth opportunities and hold employees accountable.

Risk Management and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the Risk Management department to identify and mitigate potential risks. Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard credit union assets.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a business or finance related field preferred, MBA a plus. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial institution, with at least two years in a leadership or management role. Advanced knowledge of financial products, services, and regulatory requirements. Proven ability to manage and develop high performing teams. Excellent communication, interpersonal and member service skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Community-oriented with a passion for member service and engagement. Advanced consumer loan underwriting understanding. Ability to attain and continue NMLS certification.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to frequently move within the branch to interact with members and staff. Occasional lifting and moving of office supplies, up to 25 pounds. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Visual and auditory ability to respond to interact with members and employees. Capability to travel for meetings and community events as needed.
