Henniker Community School is looking for a Boys 7-8 Basketball Coach for the winter of the 2025-2026 school year.
Qualifications:
+
Has knowledge of developmental stages of children
+
Is dependable, punctual and highly organized
+
Demonstrates a deep understanding of the content of the activity
Job Goal:
+
To instruct athletes in the fundamentals skills, strategies and physical training necessary to realize individual and team success.
+
To provide instruction that will lead to the formulation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self discipline, and self confidence.
Responsibilities:
+
Assume full responsibility for the overall supervision of the assigned program.
+
Know, understand and implement rules imposed by the school.
+
Verify each athlete's academic and medical eligibility.
+
Supervise and conduct practices and contests in a safe manner.
+
Supervise all athletes after practices and games until they leave school grounds.
+
Manage and maintain uniforms, equipment, facilities in a responsible manner and notify the Athletic Director immediately of any defective or damaged equipment.
+
Notify the Athletic Director of budgetary needs.
+
Develop good public relations with the parents, school and community.
+
Communicate effectively with the Athletic Director, administrators, players and parents.
