The
Boutique Team Leader
is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, supporting daily operations, and helping maintain an inviting, well-organized boutique and retail environment. While fashion or clothing expertise is not required, a strong work ethic, dedication to the store, and a passion for serving customers are essential.
This role plays a key part in leadership and includes merchandising, vendor communication, sales support, and collaboration as a team.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service
Greet and engage customers in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
Provide product knowledge and recommendations for boutique, retail, and seasonal decor items.
Ensure customers feel welcomed and assisted throughout their shopping experience.
Oversee and authorize the checkout experience.
Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to a positive outcome.
Assist in training associates on store operations, product, policy, and procedures.
Sales & Merchandising
Meet or exceed daily and weekly sales targets.
Maintain the boutique floor: restocking, recovering, and ensuring all sizes, styles, and colors are available.
Assist in setting up seasonal and promotional items as needed.
Tag and price new merchandise as it arrives.
Maintain visually appealing and organized displays across boutique spaces.
Operations
Assist with daily opening and closing procedures.
Operate the POS system accurately; process sales, returns, and exchanges.
Support inventory tasks including receiving shipments, stockroom organization, and inventory counts.
Follow all store policies, including loss-prevention guidelines.
Maintain communication with vendors regarding orders, deliveries, and product information.
Data entry with POS System accurately and efficiently
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Support, guide, and train team members on customer service expectations and store standards.
Communicate customer feedback and sales trends to help inform buying decisions.
Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers and supervisors
Required Experience & Qualifications
Education: High School or Equivalent
Years of Experience: 1
Proficient in use of technology (iPad, registers)
Meets defined availability criteria, including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and holidays.
Meets physical requirements (can lift up to 50lb)
Prior retail experience is a plus but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Enthusiastic, outgoing, and approachable personality.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, multi-department environment.
Attention to detail and a strong eye for merchandising.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work 40+ hours when required.
