Bookkeeper/accounts Receivable

Job Description

Far North Supply is looking for an energetic and dependable individual to join our team in our bookkeeper/accounts receivable position. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Duties/Responsibilities:



Manage daily accounting functions including emailing invoices to customers, processing customer payments, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

Maintain accurate financial records and prepare month-end closing reports.

Track inventory-related financials and assist sales team with troubleshooting inventory adjustments. Assist with goods receipt of items when necessary.

Prepare financial statements, assist with budgeting, and provide reporting to management.

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

Assist in general office duties: greet and assist office visitors, receive and sort daily mail, etc.

Answer phone calls and route to appropriate staff.

Coordinate with accounts payable staff and assist when necessary to ensure accurate and timely payments.

Monitor email account for AR and respond as needed.

Maintain accurate customer account records.

Maintain organized AR documentation and support records.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Abilities:



Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Self starter.

Proficient in Microsoft applications.

Work well individually and in a team with multiple types of personalities.

Education/Experience:



1-2 years of similar experience.

Education in Business Administration and accounting preferred.

Knowledge of Sage 100 preferred.

Hours/Benefits:



Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Pay based on experience. Benefits to be discussed at interview.
