Overview


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Bookkeeper will play a key role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Duties



Maintain accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping practices Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation on a regular basis Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections Conduct bank reconciliation to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements Support budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data and analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and relevant tax regulations Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or other financial software to streamline processes Provide technical accounting support for various projects as needed Conduct account analysis and prepare reports for management review

Experience



Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with knowledge of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, or governmental accounting preferred Familiarity with public accounting practices is a plus Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and budgeting Proficient in using 10 key typing for efficient data entry Experience with financial report writing to communicate findings clearly to stakeholders Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.34 - $30.51 per hour
