Mesquite Lumber/Ace Hardware is seeking a full time professional who has experience in all aspects of accounting. Must have experience with Accounts Payable and General Ledger. Retail experience is a plus. The role requires someone who is a self-starter and thrives by working in a dynamic environment where challenges drive outstanding performance. The major responsibilities for this position include:

General ledger entries and audit Make daily deposits Accounts Payable Verify and balance daily receipts Manage and reconcile bankcard recaps Prepare and process sales tax returns and other tax returns Run, analyze, and report to management on a variety of financial documents to best optimize sales at stores. Audit, analyze and verify fiscal records and reports Prepare monthly financial statements

Requirements for this position include:

Education/Training: High School degree, some college preferred. Possess a vast knowledge of Accounting or have attended relevant accounting courses along with a willingness to learn Experience in a retail environment either in accounting, bookkeeping, or back office Experience with General Ledger QuickBooks Proficient Skills/Knowledge: Excellent quantitative and computer skills. Analytical and mathematical knowledge with the ability to make sound decisions Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word, Excel, and/or other spreadsheet software with an ongoing willingness to learn. Knowledge of Epicor is a plus. Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multi- task Ability and willingness to work flexible hours Salary commensurate on experience
