Overview

The Bookkeeper will assist the Controller's Office staff in performing general accounting activities including account analysis, expense summaries, and end-of-month reports.

Responsibilities and Duties

Reconcile multiple checking accounts and resolve any discrepancies Update excel spreadsheets for payroll hours, insurance, cash flow, etc. Analyze fixed asset purchases for quarterly depreciation calculation. Account analysis and reclassify errors. Corporate annual registration renewals for multiple states Auditing driver petty cash envelopes Assist with end-of-month reports for management Take part in enrolling new employees for health insurance and 401k plan. Track multiple tenant rent payments and security deposits Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associates Degree and some experience preferred Some knowledge of month-end closing journal entries. Ability to analyze and take corrective action to solve problems. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Excellent verbal and written communication skills Well organized with strong attention to detail Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Valid Driver's License Required

Hours

Full Time: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:00pm Part Time: Flexible 20 - 25 hours per week
