We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, familiarity with various accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards.
Perform balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting.
Execute journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation.
Conduct bank reconciliation and payroll processing accurately and timely.
Assist in budgeting and financial analysis to support organizational goals.
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or similar for efficient record-keeping.
Provide support for tax preparation and filing as needed.
Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audits or reviews.
Collaborate with team members on various administrative tasks to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is essential.
Strong understanding of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, and public accounting principles.
Knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping and account analysis.
Experience with financial report writing and technical accounting practices.
Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
Familiarity with balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and payroll processes.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all financial records.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about accounting and administration while contributing to the overall success of our organization.
