Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payroll, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. This position plays an important role in supporting company management through organized and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Manage weekly payroll and employee time reporting
Reconcile bank statements and credit accounts
Maintain general ledger and financial transaction records
Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and payment reports
Assist management with budget tracking and financial summaries
File and organize accounting documentation
Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information
Requirements
Qualifications:
Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
Knowledge of QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting or business preferred
