Great Body Shop Manager in place with plenty of DRP's and TECHS. Need someone who is hungry to make money. Salary can get to $120K.

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Body Shop Estimator to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, auto estimating, and customer service, with the ability to accurately assess vehicle damage and communicate repair needs effectively. This role involves collaborating with technicians and customers to provide clear estimates and ensure a smooth repair process, contributing to the overall satisfaction of our clients.

Responsibilities



Conduct thorough inspections of damaged vehicles to assess repair needs using industry-standard estimating software. Prepare detailed repair estimates for collision repairs, including body work, mechanical repairs, and component replacements. Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures, costs, and timelines, ensuring a positive customer experience. Collaborate with technicians to coordinate repairs and verify that estimates align with actual work performed. Assist in upselling additional services such as vehicle maintenance, oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, and transmission repairs when appropriate. Manage insurance claims processes by providing necessary documentation and liaising with insurance adjusters. Maintain accurate records of all estimates, repairs, and customer interactions in the dealership management system. Stay updated on automotive repair techniques, industry standards, and new technologies related to auto body repair and diagnostics.

Requirements



Proven experience as an Auto Body Estimator or in a similar role within a dealership or auto service environment. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and vehicle maintenance including transmissions, oil changes, air brakes, shocks & struts, wheel alignments, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engine repairs, and brake repairs. Familiarity with auto estimating software and service writing processes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and professionally. Ability to handle cash transactions accurately when necessary. Dealership experience is highly preferred; automotive service management or mechanic experience is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with sales skills for upselling additional services effectively. Valid driver's license is required for vehicle inspections if needed.
