Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Salary: $58,956.22 to $104,700.10 Per CBA (Collective Bargaining Aggreement)

Qualifications:

Master's degree, preferred. Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. Commitment to remain current in content knowledge and state and federal regulations. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and in conformity with state licensure requirements.

Reports To:

Assistant Superintendent of Pupil Personnel Services

Performance Responsibilities:

Development of behavior plans. This includes assessing each student, collecting data, writing the plan in conjunction with teachers and school psychologists, and evaluating the effectiveness of the plan. Development of program books in conjunction with special education staff and classroom teachers. Responsible for maintaining and implementing behavioral strategies for students as identified by building principals or IEP teams. Responsible for maintaining methods of data collection and analysis of data. Responsible for writing summer progress reports in cooperation with teachers and other special education staff. Provide supervision of home trainers. Provide consultation to parents, teachers, paraprofessionals and home service providers. * Understanding of the characteristics of a wide range of intellectual disabilities as well as disorders such as autism spectrum disorders and traumatic brain injury.
