Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards always.



Responsibilities for the Blaster/Painter Operator include but are not limited to:

Perform the startup and shutdown procedures for the assigned production equipment. Perform all the following tasks: Operate Shot Blaster, Operate Paint Booth, Operate Mobile Equipment, Operate Remote Overhead Cranes Perform basic preventative maintenance duties. Report any malfunctions or abnormalities with equipment to the maintenance team. Complete reports and answer inquiries as requested or assigned. Accurately record all material usage. Maintain cleanliness of the assigned production line area. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform all other duties, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Knowledge of basic machine functions

Strong commitment to SAFETY & QUALITY in all aspects of the job. Demonstrated ability to read/understand product prints. Positive problem solver with excellent analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Demonstrated self-starter with high energy, self-discipline, and exhibits a sense of urgency. Ability to successfully work in a TEAM environment. Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot equipment. Demonstrates good housekeeping and ownership.

Preferences:

1 year experience in a production environment. Understanding of machine setup and tear down. Use of HMIs and Basic understanding of automation Overhead crane experience Mobile Equipment operations experience Tech Savvy
