Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bitcoin Mining Site Technician to assist in the daily operations of our cryptocurrency mining facility. If you are someone who likes to work with your hands and enjoys computers, this opportunity is for you. This role is critical to ensuring mining uptime, efficiency, and smooth operations of our site. The ideal candidate will have strong technical or mechanical skills, with a focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing computing equipment. Electrical, networking, or soldering experience is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Management & Maintenance:

Monitor and maintain mining hardware (ASICs) to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Perform minor repairs, diagnostics, and troubleshooting on mining equipment, including power supplies, fans, hash boards, control boards, and networking components.

Software Management:

Utilize Bitcoin mining software such as Foreman and LuxOS to manage and optimize mining operations, including miner configuration, performance monitoring, and firmware updates. Troubleshoot software-related issues and ensure seamless integration with mining hardware. Maintain up-to-date software settings to maximize hash rate and operational efficiency.

Site Operations:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the mining facility, ensuring all systems (electrical, cooling, and networking) are functioning properly. Implement and maintain preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. For example, changing container filters, and cleaning miners. Monitor environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, dust) to protect equipment longevity.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proven experience in technical or mechanical roles, such as IT hardware maintenance, data center operations, or industrial equipment repair. Familiarity with computer networking and basic IT systems. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks (e.g., lifting equipment, working in cold and warm environments). Electrical experience or certification (e.g., electrician license, knowledge of high-voltage systems). Familiarity with cryptocurrency mining operations, including ASIC miners and mining software. Experience in data center or server farm management. Knowledge of cooling systems (air, liquid, or immersion cooling) used in high-performance computing.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., electrical engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering) is a plus.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, electrical licensing, or HVAC) are highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Comfort working in environments with high noise levels, heat, and dust (PPE provided).

Ability to stand, walk, or climb ladders for extended periods.
