MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Training/Education/Certi?cation:
Associate's degree in health sciences, science-related ?eld, communication, psychology, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
CTBS certi?cation required within the ?rst two years of employment
Experience Required:
Minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting such as CNA, Medical Assistant, tissue banking, or a role involving donor relations, customer service, or hospital services
Experience in aseptic technique and donor screening preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with hospital sta? and donor families
Knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes
Ability to maintain accurate and real-time documentation
Competence in assessing donor eligibility and medical suitability
Ability to work well under pressure and manage variable workloads e?ectively
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Intermediate computing skills for documentation and data management
Commitment to providing excellent customer service and adherence to hospital guidelines
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to move up to 50 pounds at times with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to stoop, squat, or bend frequently
Exposure to patient elements including communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, to communicate e?ectively both orally and in writing
