About the Role



We are looking for a Billing Specialist to support sales, sales operations and finance by ensuring seamless quote-to-cash execution. In this role, you will be responsible for processing quotes from Salesforce to Zuora Billing, managing cancellations, migrations, renewals and ensuring accurate order processing. This position requires strong attention to detail, a process-driven mindset, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, and Customer Success teams.

The position is based in San Diego, CA with a hybrid work schedule (3 days per week in office).



What You'll Do



Here's how you'll help us bring our mission to life and show up as a Trusted Partner:

Quote Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of quotes from Salesforce to StaxBill and Zuora, validating data and compliance with company policies. Billing Operations: Work closely with Finance to review and process order submissions, upgrades, downgrades and cancellations in StaxBill and Zuora.?Process and track credits, refunds, write-offs, and adjustments in alignment with company policies. Manage chargebacks, coordinating with payment processors and collections team. Cancellations & Migrations: Process and track subscription cancellations and customer migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate invoicing. Data Integrity & Compliance: Ensure all deal data is accurate in Salesforce, StaxBill and Zuora, adhering to revenue recognition and company policies. Process Optimization: Identify areas to improve billing workflows and automation to enhance efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Legal, and Customer Success teams to address billing discrepancies, contract adjustments, and customer account changes.

Areas of Accountability:



The Billing Specialist has responsibility for the following outcomes:

Quote Management:

Ensure accurate and timely processing of quotes from Salesforce to Zuora Billing, validating data and compliance with company policies.

Billing Operations:

Work closely with Finance to review and process order submissions, renewals, and amendments in Zuora.

Cancellations & Migrations:

Process and track subscription cancellations and customer migrations, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate invoicing.

Data Integrity & Compliance:

Ensure all deal data is accurate in Salesforce and Zuora, adhering to revenue recognition and company policies.

Process Optimization:

Identify areas to improve billing workflows and automation to enhance efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner with Finance, Legal, and Customer Success teams to address billing discrepancies, contract adjustments, and customer account changes.

Experience:

2+ years in a deal desk, sales operations, billing, or order management role within a SaaS company.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.

The Fine Print (That Really Matters)



At PracticeTek, we determine compensation by considering market data, internal equity, and each candidate's skills and experience. For this position, we reasonably expect to pay between $24-$26/hr. This role is also eligible for benefits, including health, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and may be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses or equity, as applicable.
