What you'll do

Process and verify medical billing information using DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) and CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) coding systems. ICD-10 coding to ensure accurate patient records and billing submissions. Manage medical collections efficiently while maintaining positive relationships with patients and healthcare providers. Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing discrepancies and answer inquiries regarding charges. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, medical records, and coding practices to support accurate billing processes. Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to streamline billing operations. Conduct regular audits of billing data to identify errors or discrepancies, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Basic qualifications

Strong understanding of medical billing processes and insurance claims. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.

Preferred qualifications

Experience working in a medical office environment. Knowledge of medical collection procedures. Previous experience with EMR and EHR systems.
