Position Summary


The Billing Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day billing operations, supervising billing staff, ensuring timely and accurate claim submission, monitoring accounts receivable, resolving denials, and maintaining compliance with payer and regulatory requirements. This position plays a critical role in practice financial performance.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and oversee billing team, including coders, billers, and pre-authorization specialists Manage full revenue cycle for clinic and ASC, ensuring accuracy and compliance Review and submit claims, monitor claim status, and ensure timely follow-up Identify and resolve denials, rejections, and underpayments Maintain and analyze key billing metrics (AR days, denial trends, etc.) Ensure accurate coding and documentation; collaborate with providers and clinical staff Oversee patient billing, payment plans, and customer service processes Stay current on payer rules, Medicare guidelines, and coding changes Work with leadership on financial reporting and process improvement initiatives Train and support billing staff in best practices and regulatory compliance Manage provider payer credentialing

Qualifications



5+ years of medical billing experience, including management experience Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payer billing requirements Experience in urology, surgical specialties, or ASC billing is highly preferred Proven success managing AR, denials, and complex payer environments Proficiency with practice management/EHR billing systems Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
