The Student Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the foundation scholarship program, including updates to the application process, providing workshops for students, tracking scholarship award offers and disbursement in partnership with financial aid, and serving as the primary point of contact for scholarship questions and concerns.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Scholarship Applications Coordination
Coordinates and oversees scholarship application process
Serve as lead and primary point of contact to respond to questions regarding scholarship information
Coordinates and oversees the awarding process
Assists, advises and corresponds with students applying for scholarships
Works with marketing and recruitment on the marketing of scholarship applications
Works to improve scholarship process
Evaluates and compiles information related to scholarships for donors, board and development director
Provides scholarship information for grant applications and other inquiries when requested
Supports scholarship committees
Develops and schedules scholarship workshops, classroom presentations
Participates in OCCFC which consists of scholarship coordinators/directors from colleges
Scholarship Funds & Student Progress Tracking
Coordinates and processes the emergency funds applications
Records, tracks and ensures scholarship funds are awarded
Develops scholarship and student information reports
Monitors grades and eligibility of students awarded scholarships
Maintains necessary student records
Maintain Scholarship Suite and monitor students' academic progress
Ensures all supplemental materials are collected from students prior to award acceptance
Assists in coordinating events requiring recipient attendance and invitations
Office Administration Duties
Opens office mail and records incoming checks prior to giving checks to Development Associate
Assist in fundraising events when necessary
Participate in quality improvement activities (Lean) of the Foundations including training other employees on scholarship process and other duties

Minimum Qualifications:
Six (6) years of full-time work experience that reflects the knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions listed above.
This is typically achieved through a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, English/Writing, Leadership and Management, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related-field and two (2) years of full-time work experience which reflect the knowledge, skills and experience to perform the essential functions listed above. SCHEDULE & MODALITY
Based on individual assessment, business needs, supervisory discretion and/or college directives, a percentage of the duties of this position may be performed remotely.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a 100%, 12-month classified assignment at pay grade 16
This position has a 6-month probationary period
All positions at Chemeketa are required to be available for work onsite as requested by the college.
Requires flexible work schedule to meet program needs, which may include evenings and/or weekends
This position may require the use of your personal vehicle for transportation between campus locations
If requested, requires the provision of official transcripts upon hire
Employees must maintain Oregon, Washington or Idaho residency as a condition of employment.
