Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products that meet their needs, ensuring a positive shopping experience. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, helping customers make informed purchasing decisions. Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions clearly and courteously in both English and the second language. Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts issuance. Upsell relevant products and accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue. Maintain attractive merchandising displays by organizing stock, restocking shelves, and ensuring the store looks inviting and organized at all times. Stock shelves efficiently, process shipments, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability. Handle cashiering duties with attention to detail, including balancing registers at shift end and managing returns or exchanges professionally. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely. Assist with grocery store-related tasks such as stocking perishable items or managing grocery-specific product displays when applicable. Support team members with supervising experience by collaborating effectively to meet sales goals and uphold store standards.

Skills

Bilingual proficiency in English and another language is essential for effective communication with diverse customers. Strong retail sales skills with a focus on upselling and customer engagement. Experience with POS systems, cash handling, cashiering procedures, and retail math calculations. Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing product displays. Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management. Excellent phone etiquette coupled with clear communication skills to assist customers over the phone or in person. Previous supervising experience is a plus for supporting team leadership activities. Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail environments enhances adaptability in various settings.
