Propel Financial Services makes loans secured by real estate, specializing in Texas property tax loans and commercial loans secured by non-owner-occupied property around the country. Founded in 2007, Propel Financial Services has made over 55,000 loans and is one of the largest property tax lenders in Texas.

We are currently seeking a part-time Real Estate Assistant to assist with the daily operations of our Real Estate Owned (REO) Department. The Real Estate Assistant manages paperwork and files for pre-foreclosure as well as existing sales and rental inventory. This position reports to the REO Director, is fully on-site at our North Austin office and has flexible scheduling with a required 25-30 hours per week. Pay
  • $20-$25/Hour
What Will You Do?

Pre-foreclosures:
  • Prepare pre-foreclosure files with property information and maps for Monthly REO Meeting.
  • Assist with tracking each sale and record the outcome on the corresponding spreadsheet.
New Foreclosures:
  • Set up all new REO files.
  • Send NTV letters to all new REOs.
  • Work with REO Manager to prepare redemption quote or pay for redemption right waiver in letter.
  • Maintain the Outstanding Redemption List.
  • Assist in efforts to obtain waivers needed. Record and request checks for prior owner reimbursements.
Existing Sale Inventory:
  • Manage all property maintenance needs including routine mowing.
  • Manage any code violations received and resolve issues.
  • Check requests for all REO Invoices.
  • Prepare Redemption Quotes upon request.
  • Notarize and overnight all closing documents.
Existing Rental Inventory:
  • Collect rental payment and payment processing.
  • Work with the REO Manager regarding proposing evictions as needed for non-paying tenants.
  • Maintain Rental Payment Log \xe2\x80\x93 true up with accounting records.
  • Manage all rental property maintenance requests
  • Check requests for all REO Rental Repair Invoices
Other Duties:
  • Maintain Investor, Realtor and Contractor Contact List.
  • Manage the hook up and disconnection of utilities as needed for Rehab and For Sale properties.
  • Vet contractors by researching all online sources.
  • Verify that all required documents are in the file before processing check requests for contractors.
  • Bilingual in Spanish required.
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
  • Active Texas real estate license preferred but not required
  • Property management experience preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at the same time as well as prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with buyers, real estate agents, and contractors
  • People-oriented, dedicated to customer service, extremely organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to work independently but also follow instructions
