Bilingual Patient Intake Specialist

We are seeking a caring, detail-oriented

Bilingual Patient Intake Specialist

to join our team. This role begins with welcoming patients and ensuring accurate intake, but also extends into supporting families throughout their care journey with scheduling, referrals, and coordination.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and families warmly, ensuring a positive first impression at every visit. Collect, verify, and accurately enter patient demographics, insurance, and required documentation into our EHR (eClinicalWorks experience is a plus). Confirm insurance eligibility and assist with coordination of benefits, including the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Manage new patient registrations and assist families with intake paperwork. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments, ensuring smooth patient flow. Assist in coordinating referrals, follow-ups, and communication between providers and families. Handle patient inquiries via phone, portal, and in-office interactions. Collect copayments and process payments accurately. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality while handling sensitive information.

Qualifications

Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in data entry. Excellent communication and customer service skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) highly valued & required. Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance verification processes is a plus. Compassionate, patient-first approach with a team-oriented mindset.
