We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented bilingual Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate for this entry level position will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative support in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role involves managing patient interactions, handling medical records, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. We are willing to train the right person who cares about patient care and would like to be part of a team not just a job.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments, follow-ups, No-Shows, and cancellations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure that all documents and forms that need to be completed prior to the start of the next business day are complete.
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at check-in or check-out as required.
Assist with patient check-in, ensuring that all required forms are completed, medical records are updated, all forms are signed, pharmacy information is current, and insurance card and driver's license have been scanned into the chart and are current.
Assist with patient check-out, including scheduling follow-up appointments and providing necessary instructions for future visits.
Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, including filing, faxing, photocopying, scanning, and organizing documents.
Handle patient concerns or complaints with professionalism, aiming for a favorable resolution.
Assist with overflow incoming calls and answer messages sent from the operator.
Maintain the waiting area by ensuring it is clean, comfortable, and well-organized.
Requirements
2 Years of Customer Service is preferred.
Spanish speaker is a requirment.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office proficiency; (Excel)
