An international trading company in Portland Office is seeking a sales rep who Support the achievement of the Department's financial goals by maintaining/expanding existing business and supporting the development of new business in Food industry.
Sales/Marketing/Budgeting
? Support budget management of the department.
? Assist in development of a business plan and sales strategy.
? Assist in development of new importing & exporting business in the food industry.
? Negotiates and closes terms of purchase/sales with supplier and customers.
? Contacting customers.
? Create new business and/or expand business.
? Monitors customer's financial situations and payment status.
? Ensures the business compliance.
? Researches and analyzes investment opportunities in the North American food industry.
? Supervises Sales assistant/Logistic specialist.
Responsible includes customer service as well as administrative tasks. ?
Requirements
? 2-3 years of relevant work experience preferably in the seafood/marine products industry.
? Appropriate Knowledge of FDA, USDA, and U.S. Customs is a plus.
? Knowledge of trade terms and food products.
? Strong interpersonal, negotiation, closing, persuasive skills.
? Strong customer service skills.
? Ability to train sales assistant /Logistic specialist
? Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
? Proficient with Microsoft Office products
? Business level Japanese. (speak, read, and write)
? Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
