Job Description

Full time position is available for an experienced (minimum 2 years experience required) paralegal in an active law firm. We are looking for someone who is accustomed to a fast pace, can juggle multiple responsibilities and is team oriented.

Our office handles Immigration, Personal Injury, Family Law and Criminal matters. Our team consists of one principal attorney, three paralegals (one part time) and one receptionist.

Qualifications:

Fluent in Spanish and English Proficient in Word, QuickBooks, Excel and Outlook Must have at least 2 years prior paralegal experience in immigration and civil. Excellent communication skills and pleasant phone manner Detail and task oriented

Responsibilities:

Support and assist attorney as appropriate. Draft appropriate legal documents and assemble all necessary final materials such as Civil demands and Immigration packages. Assist attorney in trial preparation including exhibits and trial binders. Interface with external offices: Set up court dates, interface with other law firms, vendors and other 3rd parties (i.e. Private investigators, State Marshalls, Doctor's Offices etc) as necessary. File (e-file) all appropriate documents Meet with clients as appropriate, answer phones, schedule appointments, greet clients and handle any client requests. Process mail and handle any necessary correspondence. Manage client finances and receive payments (including credit card processing) Manage attorney's calendars, maintain schedule of all key dates (Court appointments, hearings, statute of limitations) manage filing system and keep all client contact information up to date Assist in managing telephone lines when no reception coverage

Benefits:

Compensation is dependent on experience. 10 personal days plus all state court holidays (13 days); 23 Days Total

Pay: $43,060.95 - $51,858.34 per year
