We are currently seeking a
Bilingual Front Desk Check-In/Out Coordinator
who is fluent in both English and Spanish. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for patients and must be helpful, attentive, and detail-oriented. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, communicates clearly and compassionately, and enjoys being part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner
Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently
Verify and update patient demographics, insurance, and other information in the EMR (Athena)
Collect co-pays and other payments and provide appropriate receipts/documentation
Schedule appropriate follow-up appointments and coordinate future visits based on provider recommendations
Maintain clean and organized front desk and waiting areas
Promptly answer incoming calls and assist with inquiries or route calls appropriately
Monitor the EMR inbox and ensure medical records are sent out in a timely, HIPAA-compliant manner
Coordinate requests for medical records including verifying authorization, retrieving charts, and uploading or faxing as needed
Collaborate with medical assistants, providers, and other team members to ensure smooth patient flow
Contribute to a positive office culture by exhibiting professionalism, flexibility, and a team-first attitude
Qualifications
Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
High school diploma or equivalent required
1-2 years of medical front desk experience preferred
Proficiency in Athena EMR or similar electronic medical record system a strong plus
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing an excellent patient experience
