EDUCATION ASSISTANT POSITION AVAILABLE

Class 3 bilingual education assistant tutor

7 hours per day (6.5 hours paid time and 30 minute unpaid lunch)

$24.03 per hour plus benefits based on current education assistant contract

RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Assist students in classrooms with skill acquisition and completion of assignments.
+ Work with individuals and/or small groups of students in subject areas.
+ Coordinate work for students with the teachers.
+ Supervision on playground, halls or clerical duties as assigned.
+ Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Must be proficient

in Spanish and English.

+ Able to attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
+ Knowledge of strategies to comprehensibly explain content to students.
+ Ability to work as part of a team to complete intervention plans for students.
+ Experience working with students in the areas of math and reading.
