About the Role:

Universal Language Service, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and professional Bilingual Customer Service & Language Specialist (

Marshallese

) join our team. This dual-role position combines real-time over-the-phone and video remote interpretation (OPI/VRI) services with administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities:


Interpretation & Customer Support

o Deliver real-time OPI/VRI interpretation services in Marshalleseand English o Assist interpreters with completing and updating profiles and documentation o Follow up with interpreters to ensure records are current and compliant o Maintain clear and professional communication with interpreters and internal teams o Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and accuracy o Coordinate interpreter assignments, efficiently manage schedules, and ensure accurate and timely fulfillment of client requests o Maintain interpreter account records, updating information related to assignments, availability, and billing accurately o Proactively troubleshoot scheduling issues, providing timely and effective solutions

Requirements:

o Strong bilingual proficiency in English and

Marshallese

o Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills o Strong attention to detail and ability to manage administrative documentation o Ability to work full-time, on-site (Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM PST or 8:30 AM-5:30 PM PST) o Prior interpretation experience preferred o Medical DSHS or national interpreter certification/qualification (e.g. NBCMI, CCHI, Other) is a plus (support provided for those seeking DSHS Medical recognition)

Education & Professional Background:

o Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Human Resources, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) o Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service, scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, interpretation, or translation

Work Environment & Screening Requirements:

o This is a full-time, on-site position based at our Bellevue, WA corporate office o Remote work is not permitted o Candidates must pass a full-panel drug and alcohol screening and a national criminal background check

Compensation:

o Up to $25 per hour, depending on qualifications and relevant experience o Full benefits package available, including medical insurance
