:
The Commercial Roofing Superintendent oversees on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This role requires bilingual communication skills in Spanish and English to effectively manage a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities
:
Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
Study scope, specifications and drawings to plan workflows and staffing requirements.
Develop and manage project schedules; coordinate various phases of construction.
Ensure proper permits are secured and maintain compliance with regulations.
Initiate and maintain relationships with clients, from pre-construction through project close-out.
Schedule and coordinate all trades and vendors according to project schedule.
Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval.
Direct trade activities based on project drawings.
Order materials, equipment, and tools needed for the project.
Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate resolutions.
Prepare and maintain various reports, including progress, safety, and expense reports.
Lead safety meetings and serve as on-site Safety Officer if required.
Manage inspection processes with local authorities and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards.
Ensure customer satisfaction with the project.
Perform small repairs as needed.
Qualifications/Skills
:
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
3-5+ years of supervisory experience in roofing.
Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer-based data management systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety manuals, and other documents.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication skills with employees, subcontractors, landlords, clients, and inspectors.
Physical Requirements

Navigate through jobsite efficiently.
Safely use a ladder.
