Position Description: POSITION SUMMARY: The Bike Park Supervisor works with and provides leadership to the teams in the field with summer maintenance of bike park. Responsible for daily management of bike trail crew including scheduling, performance management, payroll, training, etc.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintains downhill and cross country bike trails.

Plans and executes new trail building according to master plan.

Assist in water run off/ natural spring diversion for trails and lift terminals.

Assisting in overseeing of Fuels and Fire reduction.

Mowing grass on runs using tractor, fixing water bars, maintaining erosion control, and weed control.?????

Remove and clear trees, pick up and remove rocks and other debris from bike and ski trails.

Maintain wooden features within bike park.

Build water diversion structures maintain existing drainages.

Fell trees and perform sawyer work as required for trail maintenance.

Assist with trail maintenance for community trail systems.

Assist in trail improvements for ski runs including but not limited to revegetation, water bar improvements, boundary post placements, mowing of ski trails, and other summer trail improvements.

Communicate any damage sustained to snowcats, snowmobiles, UTV/ATV, or any other equipment during shift immediately to Director.?

Operate UTV/ATV per company policy including towing equipment on steep, icy slopes, maintaining appropriate speeds and angles in relation to slope.?

Look for better ways to serve the organization.

Vehicle Maintenance and Shop assist with vehicle maintenance as needed and maintain shop organization and cleanliness.?

Responsible for management of less than 10 employees for daily operations, payroll, performance management and disciplinary action as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interaction with guests, fellow employees, and management.

Assist and support other departments for races, events and operations on high volume days.

Ability to make sound decisions with safety as number one priority.?

Ability to operate snowcat (including using to haul snow guns), snowmobile, UTV, ATV, including towing with all vehicles.?

Use hand tools including but not limited to shovel, rake, broom, ice chipper, hand pick, mccloud.??

Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and other individuals to make improvements or take corrective action.??

Must be able to bike at an intermediate level with the ability to navigate intermediate terrain and test Terrain Park features.?

Talking to others to convey information effectively.?

Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.?

Actively looking for ways to help people.?

Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences.?

Assist with resort-wide events as required.

Speak, read, write in English fluently.
? EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS: ?

High School diploma or equivalent industry experience required.??

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Minumum 3 years bike park, trail maintenance and building, and/or mountain operations experience.?

Minumum 2 years experience in a leadership role.?

Valid Drivers License, good driving record and be insurable under our company policy

Previous experience operating skid steer a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be able to lift up to 60lbs.

Requires physical conditioning to perform physically demanding tasks at altitude throughout 10 hour shift including core and arm strength to handle chainsaw, spud bar, pick, shovel, etc.

Dexterity for handling tools such as shovel, rake, pick, spud bar, chainsaw.

Stand and walk/hike for duration of 10 hour shift.

Reaching, Bending, Sitting, Standing, Carrying, Lifting, using ladders.

Verbal and auditory abilities necessary for communication with others.

Flexible work schedule, availability on weekends, evenings and holidays required.
