The Beverage Assistant Manager is responsible for the daily beverage operations within casino. This includes Night Hawk, Wolf Den, Twisted Earth, Events bars, and Gaming Floor beverage services. Working with the Beverage Manager and Area Food Managers to develop and uphold all alcohol beverage policies, procedures and operational standards for the CCRH.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise venues by organizing and directing worker training programs, resolving personnel problems, creating schedules, disciplining employees as needed, and evaluating employee performance.
Check for proper identification on all guests that appear under the age of 30 attempting to purchase alcohol in accordance with all applicable local, county, and state liquor laws.
Oversee Food and Beverage staff when Area Food and Beverage Managers and other Venue Food and Beverage Managers are off duty.
Ensure alcohol is being properly secured during non-operational hours in accordance with all applicable local, county, and state liquor laws.
Maintain itemized par levels, count inventory monthly, and assist other leads and managers when needed.
Order product from vendors when needed.
Monitor customers and discontinue alcohol service when a guest(s) appear to be intoxicated.
Handle customer complaints in an appropriate manner and report them to proper management when needed.
Report all incidents that occur on shift to Area Food & Beverage Managers in proper documental form
Schedule and adjust staffing as needed during shift according to business requirements.
Work with servers, cocktail servers, and bartenders to ensure timely and accurate service to all guests.
Create and maintain new and innovative cocktails menus, with help from other managers and lead bartenders when needed.
Suggest and educate staff to promote products to produce higher ticket averages.
Work with Area Food & Beverage Managers in creating and executing events and promotions to; create and exciting atmosphere, drive customer foot traffic, and increase food and beverage revenues.
Ensure that all work areas are clean and tidy before staff members clock out for the day.
Correct ticket mistakes in POS system.
Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and procedures when needed.
Maintain a safe and consistent work environment.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Must be 19 years old or older
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Two years of previous bartending experience required
Two years management experience required
Previous customer service experience required
Previous interviewing and hiring experience preferred
Tips Card or Alcohol ServSafe Certificate preferred
ServSafe Food certification preferred
Skills/Knowledge:
Cashiering skills required.
Advanced knowledge of mixology required.
Must be able to guide, coach, and work well with a team.
Must be skilled at managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
Must be adept at multi-tasking.
Excellent verbal communication skills required; excellent written communication skills preferred.
Presentation and organizational skills preferred.
Strong problem solving and prioritizing skills required.
Should understand the theory of progressive discipline.
