Job Description

Responsible for ensuring legal compliance, operation, and administration of corporate benefits programs including monitoring, tracking, researching, reporting, and analyzing claims, fees, and participate data. Provide recommendations for enhancing benefit programs, process improvements, systems enhancements, and effective cost control. Assists with the preparation and maintenance of benefit communication materials, training, and other initiatives to educate and inform employees about their benefits. Responsible for handling benefit-related inquiries from employees explaining benefits and policies, as well as resolving issues as they arise. Responsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others.





MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS




Benefits Analyst II: ($63,860 - $79,830)


Must possess a working knowledge of business and human resources practices at a level normally acquired through the completion of a four-year degree in human resources management, business administration, accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience; and Two years' employee benefits experience.

Benefits Analyst III: ($73,460 - $91,830)


In addition to four-year degree or equivalent experience noted above, five years' in-depth experience with employee benefits program management and compliance.



OTHER REQUIREMENTS




Must take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered. Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks. May be required to maintain a valid driver's license.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS




Benefits program certification or certification as a human resource professional. Excel experience using formulas and descriptive statistic functions. HRIS experience.



JOB RESPONSIBILITIES




Assist with the benefit billing process, which includes basic Trust accounting, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and performing regular account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. Assist with administering the design, analysis, and administration of the employee benefits programs. Serve as a resource for employees and retirees on existing benefits, which includes handling inquiries related to benefits and policies, as well as resolving issues as they arise. Track monitor, and analyze claims, fees, premiums, costs, data, and access; reconcile discrepancies; interpret analysis; develop summary reports, including analysis and interpretation for management review and decision making. Coordinate, gather, compile, and test data to complete all nondiscrimination and coverage testing, true-up calculations, pension valuation, Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) and/or premium building for various benefit plans, plan design considerations, compliance, and other requirements. Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.
