Overview

The Bell/Valet Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming and efficient arrival and departure experience for guests. This dual-role position includes handling luggage, assisting with guest inquiries, and parking/retrieving vehicles safely and promptly. The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent customer service, professionalism, and attentiveness.

Duties

Bell Attendant Duties:

Greet guests upon arrival and departure with a warm, friendly demeanor. Assist guests with luggage to and from rooms or vehicles. Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and transportation options. Deliver packages, amenities, and messages to guest rooms. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bell stand and lobby area. Coordinate with front desk for guest requests and transportation needs.

Valet Attendant Duties:

Greet arriving guests and safely park their vehicles in designated areas. Retrieve guest vehicles promptly upon request. Record vehicle information accurately (e.g., make, model, license plate). Inspect vehicles for damage prior to parking and report any issues. Maintain key security and follow safety protocols. Assist with traffic flow and curbside management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles. Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus. Friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor. Ability to lift luggage up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred. Strong communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus. Familiarity with phone systems and front desk operations is advantageous. Ability to provide excellent guest relations and maintain professionalism at all times. Must be able to lift heavy luggage and stand for extended periods. A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
