Job Description

New River Health Association, Inc. is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing high-quality, accessible, and community-focused healthcare services in West Virginia. We are expanding our school-based health services and are seeking a compassionate and motivated

(LGSW, LCSW, or LICSW)

to join our behavioral health team at

Fayetteville PK-8

, located in the heart of Fayette County near the iconic New River Gorge Bridge.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families while working within a supportive, mission-driven organization committed to increasing access to behavioral health services in rural communities.

The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide school-based behavioral health services to students in grades Pre-K through 8. This role includes assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, care coordination, and collaboration with school personnel, families, and community partners. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children and adolescents, understands the unique needs of rural communities, and values integrated care within an FQHC model.

Qualifications:



Required:

LGSW, LCSW, or LICSW in the state of West Virginia. Experience working with children, adolescents, or families preferred. Ability to work independently within a school-based environment and as part of an integrated healthcare team. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to serving rural populations and reducing barriers to behavioral health access. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites, as needed.
Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
