Preferred Education and Experience
Currently enrolled in a college or university program,
or
RBT certified,
or
willing to obtain RBT certification within 6 months of hire
Bachelor's degree in psychology or a related field
Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs
One year of professional or personal experience with autism or developmental disabilities (e.g., through family, friends, or previous employment)

Behavior Technicians (BTs) work under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst to provide direct behavioral therapy to individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. BTs implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs as written by the supervising Behavior Analyst. Responsibilities include data collection, teaching life skills, remediating skill deficits, and addressing challenging behaviors.
Successful candidates will possess strong documentation, interpersonal, and boundary-setting skills, along with a passion for supporting individuals in achieving meaningful growth.

Responsibilities and Duties
Obtain and maintain RBT, medication certification, and CPR certification (if not already certified)
Implement behavior plans and skill acquisition programs developed by a supervising Behavior Analyst
Conduct preference, reinforcer, and other assessments as directed
Accurately collect and maintain client data; review data monthly with the Behavior Analyst
Deliver active, high-quality therapy to support client goal achievement
Participate in team meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Behavior Analyst
Support individuals with developmental disabilities to build meaningful and lasting connections
Follow crisis and emergency procedures as established by the Behavior Analyst
Maintain excellent attendance to ensure consistency for clients
Adhere to the BACB Code of Ethics, MME policies and procedures, and all applicable regulations
Assist the Behavior Analyst in staff training during orientation and ongoing throughout the year
Work independently and make sound decisions within established guidelines
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
