Minimum Requirements

:

Some college coursework, associates or bachelors degree preferred Special needs experience preferred Childcare experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical

:

Provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism (direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor) Keep children motivated to learn Collect accurate data and objectively report session progress notes Ability to work independently Follow all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines related to client privacy

Basic & Physical

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (clients, equipment, etc.) Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time Must be able to sit on the floor, in small chairs, or stand for extended periods of time Must be able to push, pull, carry, reach, bend, twist, run, stoop, climb, etc. as needed Must be willing to manage challenging behaviors with support * Must be able to remain conscious and alert at all times
