Job Description

About the Role:




The Behavior Technician (BT) supports the implementation of individualized behavior and learning plans for children enrolled in Clever Bee Academy's Inclusion Program. Working under the guidance of a Lead Teacher and/or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT helps children develop communication, social, and daily living skills in a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.


This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping neurodivergent children thrive through patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

Qualifications:

Education:

Minimum of Associate in Psychology, Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred. +

Experience:

Minimum of

1 year working with children

, preferably in an early childhood, inclusion, or special education setting.

Training:

Familiarity with

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)

principles preferred; formal training will be provided for new hires.

Skills:




- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Collaborative mindset, works well with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Reliable, consistent, and passionate about inclusion and child development.

Certification:

RBT certification is a plus but not required. Candidates without certification will receive training and support toward future RBT credentialing.

Responsibilities:



Implement one-on-one or small group behavioral and instructional strategies based on individualized plans developed by the Lead Teacher and/or BCBA. Support children in developing appropriate communication, social, and adaptive skills. Observe, record, and report behavioral data and progress notes accurately and timely. Assist with classroom management, routines, and maintaining a safe, structured environment. Provide emotional and behavioral support to help children participate meaningfully in daily classroom activities. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and therapists to ensure consistent strategies across home and school environments. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions related to inclusion and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Maintain confidentiality and adhere to Clever Bee's ethical and professional standards at all times.
