Overview



Position. Your title will be Behavior Support Specialist, and you will report to the Director of School Partnerships and Supports for most day-to-day purposes. Your duties include but are not limited to ongoing assessment of needs, assistance in achieving personal independence in managing basic needs as identified by the individual and/or parent or guardian. Facilitation of further development of daily living skills.

Coordination of the ISP. Symptoms monitoring. Coordination and/or assistance in crisis management and stabilization. Advocacy and outreach. Mental Health Intervention. Activities that increase the individual's capacity. You will comply with the Client's treatment plans which will specify how often the Client should be met with. You are required to meet weekly productivity of 75% and treatment team meetings to discuss the progress of all Clients weekly. Your work site will include, but limited to, your assigned school as well as the FocusCare Office at times. You are responsible for the building and continuing the integrity of the program as well as complying with the rules, recommendations, and requirements of your licensing board as well as FocusCare, LLC.

Duties



Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify behavioral issues and needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings. Collect and analyze data to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies as necessary. Utilize medical terminology effectively in documentation and communication. Provide direct behavioral therapy sessions to children and individuals with autism. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and support services. Educate families about behavioral strategies and interventions to foster positive outcomes.

Qualifications



Experience working with children, particularly those with autism or other developmental disorders. Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and methodologies. Proficient in patient assessment, data collection, and medical documentation practices. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and data protection. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Compassionate approach towards patient care, demonstrating empathy and understanding of individual needs. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
