SUMMARY

A person in this position functions in a high level managerial capacity and is responsible for the regional Behavioral Support Service Program which operates in a multi-county area. Work is performed with a high degree of independence in line with corporate policies and procedures and program regulations.

About your Role:
  • Develops and maintains a Behavioral Support Service Program in a multi-county area to support adult consumers experiencing behavioral difficulties.
  • Oversees the functional assessment and development of strategies to support consumers experiencing behavioral difficulties; develops and provides ongoing review of Positive Behavior Support Plans and Restrictive Procedures Plan; designs plans which present positive practices as support strategies in collaboration with the consumer, family, and team members.
  • Supervises a staff of BSS workers and ensures that Behavior Support Plans are followed and that such staff understands the commitment and compliance to achieving goals set forth based on individual consumer assessments.
  • Completes Clinical auditing of PBSPs, restrictive procedure plans or crisis plans as well as completing monthly summaries in regards to audits and case formulation
  • Ensures that training is provided to the staff, family members, and consumers so that the implementation and all aspects of the Behavior Support Plans are understood and adhered to; monitors the progress of the behavior support plans and makes revisions as needed
  • Monitors the expenses and income for all programs in the multi-county area; reviews the monthly operating statements to ensure that the expenses and revenues are in line with budgetary expectations; discusses with the Director of Operations all line items which are not in compliance with expectations and makes recommendations to correct problem areas
  • Ensures that all documentation and record keeping is accurate, up to date, and maintained in compliance with regulations which govern the program, county, state and federal reporting, and corporate policies and procedures
  • Reviews program schedules to ensure that actual hours worked are in accordance with planned hours for each program; closely monitors the utilization of staff to maximize the use of human resources within budgetary confines without the use of overtime hours; takes corrective action steps when necessary via schedule adjustments which are in line with corporate policy and procedures in utilization of staff
  • Acts as liaison with administrative entities and maintains positive relationship with administrative officials, families, and the community.
\xc2\xb7 Collaborates with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) trainer to review and develop training strategies in line with functional behavior analysis principles and practices; develops training vignettes to be utilized during NVCI training.

Does the Following Apply to You?
  • A Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Human Services or closely related field with at least four years of progressively responsible experience in a supervisory/managerial capacity.
  • Must have a valid West Virginia Driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with good driving record.
  • Must be a Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA)
  • Computer skills (MS Office Suite software use, ability to learn West Virginia programmatic portals \xe2\x80\x93 Avatar, Kepro, etc\xe2\x80\xa6), ability to navigate and teach others in the usage of the Avatar Electronic Health Record system
