Join our dynamic team as a Behavior Interventionist, where you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly those on the autism spectrum. Other behavioral issues such as violence, manipulative behaviors and emotional disturbances. You will implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques to foster positive behavior changes and enhance the quality of life for your clients. Ages you would be working with include 2 years old to 18 years old in an IOP/STAD program where children attend to work on life skills. Your expertise in applied behavior analysis and patient care will empower you to make a meaningful impact every day!
What you'll do
Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and strengths.
Collect and analyze data on client progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for clients.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide training and support to families on effective behavioral strategies and techniques.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in behavioral health.
Basic qualifications
Proven experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities or autism.
Strong understanding of special education principles and practices.
Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment, and medical documentation processes.
Preferred qualifications
Experience in applied behavior analysis (ABA) methodologies.
Familiarity with data collection techniques relevant to behavioral health.
Background in patient care or direct support roles within the disability community.
