POSITION INFORMATION
EVSC is seeking a Behavior Interventionist. This position is contingent upon continued funding and will be discontinued if funding ends. This position works 183 days per school year, 7.25 hours per day, and follows the Board approved school holiday schedule.
SALARY
Salary will be commensurate with the level of education and experience of the recommended candidate.
Range:
$40,381 - $44,868

Insurance:
EVSC offers four (4) Anthem medical insurance plans. Single medical, dental and vision insurance are provided with this position. Employees may pay the additional cost to add family members. Employees enrolled in an EVSC medical insurance plan are eligible to use any of the three EVSC Health & Wellness Centers. EVSC employees have access to the EVSC Wee Care Learning Centers. The Wee Care program provides a quality early learning experience for employees' children as young as six weeks through age five at a special employee rate.
This position will automatically be enrolled in the Public Employees' Retirement Fund (PERF) through the state of Indiana, which includes a defined benefit (Pension) as well as an Annuity Savings Account (ASA). Employees may also participate in a 403(b) Plan. Enrolling in the 403(b) plan allows employees to save for their retirement by making a pre-tax salary deferral contributions to the Plan.

THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION AND FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FOR THE 2025-26 SCHOOL YEAR ONLY.
SUMMARY:
Behavior Interventionist provides direct support to students to assist with effecting positive social, emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental changes, supporting staff to improve overall behavior proficiency, providing supportive interventions to families, and working with community partners to develop and maintain a continuum of supports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
+ Actively supervise students with intensive behavioral needs throughout the school day, including classroom and non-classroom activities.
+ Demonstrate proficiency and skill in providing support to students including, but not limited to; behavior support practices, de-escalation, teaching and practicing positive coping skills and self-regulation, conflict resolution, and problem solving skills.
+ Proficiently perform the skills and procedures as outlined in Safe Crisis Management when necessary.
+ Engage in on-going professional development to increase knowledge and skills to improve social, emotional, cognitive and academic outcomes for all students.
+ Collect data, as needed, to evaluate programming and to support the development of function based or other behavior plans.
+ Facilitate small group instruction with students that focuses on developing specific self-regulation skills.
+ Participate in building level teams and/or grade level meetings, as appropriate.
+ Use tablets and/or computers to record intervention programs, data, and adhering to school system standards for scheduling and time submission.
+ Carry out all duties deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor.
+ Establish positive and productive relationships through flexible collaboration with administrators, teachers, students, and families.
+ Maintain regular attendance.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis or related fields; Associate's degree required in related field. Experience working with students in a PK-12 setting preferred. Knowledge of child and adolescent cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral and physical development, assessment, mental health, and development of function based plans required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid driver's license for travel to multiple schools when necessary
