A Beertender's job involves serving craft beer, educating customers on styles, pouring drinks (draft/bottle), handling payments via POS, and maintaining a clean, welcoming taproom environment, often requiring strong product knowledge, excellent customer service, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Key duties include checking IDs, managing inventory, restocking, and participating in events, ensuring responsible alcohol service.
What You'll Do:
Greet guests, offer recommendations, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience.
Educate patrons on beer profiles, styles, breweries, and food pairings.
Properly pour draft and bottled beers, including flights and growlers, using correct techniques.
Accurately take orders and process transactions (cash/card) using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
Keep the bar, tables, glassware, and restrooms clean; stock beer, merchandise, and supplies.
Verify customer age and serve alcohol responsibly, following all laws.
Change kegs, handle opening/closing duties, and assist with events.
What We're Looking For:
Is 21+ and meets all minimum age requirements for alcohol service.
Has or can obtain current ServSafe and food handler certifications.
Passion for craft beer.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a busy environment.
Detail-oriented with money handling and POS experience.
Can work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Can stand and walk for extended periods.
Can lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on the job
