Position Summary

Purpose of position

The Basketball Gym Supervisor is in charge of setting up the Glacial Drumlin School gym for games on Saturday mornings, supervising, running book and scoreboard for games on Saturday mornings. The person in this position must be 18 years or older.

Position Accountability

General day-to-day supervision, administrative direction, and performance evaluation shall be received from the Deputy Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director.

Supervision Exercised

Supervising games, participants and referees.

Term of Employment

This position is a seasonal position. The 2026 season will run from January through February on Saturday mornings.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Prepares Glacial Drumlin School gym for games. Makes sure teams and referees are present and ready for games. Runs the stat book and scoreboard for all games that day. Transport equipment to and from Parks & Recreation office and Glacial Drumlin School gym.

Education, Experience, & Qualifications

Education, Experience, & Qualifications

The person in this position must be 18 years or older. Knowledge of basketball and supervising children in an educational or recreational setting and leading kids inactive games. Ability to carry out assigned tasks with minimal supervision.

Ability to move across the gym to effectively supervise activities at the gym.
