JOB DESCRIPTION

Hi-Five Sports Chicago is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated

Youth Basketball Coach

to lead our Sunday morning basketball leagues.

We are seeking a coach who is passionate about

teaching the fundamentals of basketball

--dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, teamwork, and sportsmanship--and who can do so in a

fun, energetic, and positive environment

.

Ideal candidates will have

experience coaching young children (ages 5 and up)

and a proven ability to engage and motivate players of varying skill levels. You'll be responsible for planning and running age-appropriate practices and games that help kids build confidence, learn the game, and have a great time.

Hi-Five Coaches are role models who lead by example, stay organized and proactive, and be a great representative of the Hi-Five brand.

Qualifications

Availability to work

Sunday mornings

Experience

coaching children (ages 5 and up)

in basketball or other youth sports programs Strong ability to

teach fundamental basketball skills

in a clear and encouraging way Athletic, team-sport background with documented experience and expertise in basketball Upbeat, positive, and engaging personality Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Strong work ethic; proactive, responsible, and dependable by nature Physical ability to actively participate in drills and games Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other activity-related hazards Ability to pass a background check, physical, and provide proof of immunizations
