Job Description

The Carriage Wine & Market offers a wine-focused bar and small bites menu, a thoughtfully curated bottle shop & specialty grocery market, and all-around good times!

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area and retail space
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Organize retail merchandise in market side including wine, craft beer, cheese, specialty grocery, and more
- Track and maintain accurate inventory counts
- Received and check-in deliveries as needed
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer concerns or complaints

Skills:
- Knowledge of basic math for handling cash transactions and calculating prices
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail for accurately preparing drinks and garnishing them
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with other staff members
- General working knowledge of wine is preferred but not required
