Position Summary

The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. This role requires strong product knowledge, attention to detail, compliance with California alcohol laws, and a friendly, professional demeanor that reflects the Cornerstone BBQ brand.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards Verify guest age and ensure compliance with all California ABC regulations Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area at all times Engage guests in a friendly, welcoming, and professional manner Accurately process orders and payments using the POS system Monitor guest alcohol consumption and refuse service when necessary Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines Complete opening, shift-change, and closing bar duties Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and ice as needed Report equipment issues, shortages, or guest concerns to management Represent Cornerstone BBQ positively within the community

Qualifications & Requirements

Must be

21 years of age or older

Valid California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification

required (or ability to obtain prior to first shift) Prior bartending experience preferred (high-volume experience a plus) Strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and basic cocktail preparation Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods of time Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (kegs, cases, ice, supplies) Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout shift

Pay: $16.90 - $20.00 per hour
