We are seeking an experienced and personable Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating a welcoming atmosphere, delivering exceptional customer service, and efficiently managing bar operations. This role involves serving a diverse clientele in settings ranging from fine dining establishments to lively nightclubs and banquet events. The successful candidate will possess strong skills in POS systems, food safety, and beverage service, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.
Duties
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS.
Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction throughout their visit.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards.
Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with accuracy, including processing payments and giving change.
Restock bar supplies as needed, monitor inventory levels, and communicate supply needs to management.
Uphold responsible alcohol service policies, checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
Assist with event setups for banquets, catering functions, or nightclub activities as required.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and beverages during service periods.
Skills
Proven experience in food service or hospitality environments, especially within fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
Proficiency with POS systems such as TOAST; basic math skills including retail math and handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
Experience with serving alcohol responsibly, including checking IDs and understanding liquor laws.
Ability to work nights, weekends, or special event hours as needed; flexibility is essential.
Additional desirable skills include catering experience, brewing knowledge, retail math proficiency, and banquet experience.
