The Bartender is responsible for creating the overall guest experience, maintaining high standards of the operation in quality and service and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their visit. This role will service bar top gaming guests and casino cocktail servers.
Responsibilities include organizing and maintaining proper appearance of the bar area, serving guests, taking orders, preparing drinks for bar and casino cocktail service

RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet all guests at bar and tables in a timely manner
Promote positive guest relations by projecting a courteous, helpful attitude throughout their visit
Share inventory/menu knowledge, accurately take orders, place orders in the POS system, prepare beverages and deliver all requested items to guests in a timely, efficient manner
Maintain an updated knowledge of the brands of beer, wine, liquors and common cocktails/specialty drinks available for service as well as appropriate garnishes, glassware and current pricing
Responsible for pouring beverage items and delivering items ordered while ensuring quality and consistency
Clear bar and/or tables of used items and dishes in a timely manner
Adhere to proper alcohol/food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items
Adhere to, enforce and practice all alcoholic beverage laws, policies, and regulations
Provide accurate check to guest and ensure payment is made (cash, card or comp)
Perform assigned opening duties to stock station with proper supply levels needed for the shift and closing side work to ensure a clean and safe station.
Assume total responsibility for assigned section including cleanliness and organization
Regularly provide information to Supervisor/Manager regarding guest reactions, comments, or problems that may arise and any safety/appearance concerns throughout the casino to ensure a quality and safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 21
Previous restaurant, hospitality or beverage service experience required
Must work independently as well as part of a team
Maintain working knowledge of a service POS system, restaurant menus, cocktail recipes, beer/wine lists, etc.
Ability to promote and sell
Ability to lift, handle and carry (e.g. trays and equipment) a minimum of 25 pounds on a frequent basis
Ability to work in confined spaces requiring walking, standing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and reaching overhead for extended periods of time
Excellent people skills and ability to courteously and efficiently interact with fellow employees, management and guests to ensure a positive experience
Must pay attention to detail including cleanliness and safety
Must be able to communicate effectively in English and listen attentively
Must follow verbal and written directions, policies, and procedures
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
