We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Bartender to join our dynamic team. Your exceptional guest service with preparing and serving beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) in a fast-paced New Orleans-style restaurant environment. The ideal candidate brings strong mixology skills, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming personality that reflects the spirit of Southern hospitality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology and exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest has an unforgettable experience. This role requires a strong understanding of various POS systems and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests in a friendly and engaging manner, creating a welcoming environment.
Prepare, mix, and serve drinks according to company recipes, Louisiana Alcohol & Tobacco Control (ATC) regulations, and guest preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including counters, glassware, and equipment.
Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
Manage cash, handle POS transactions accurately, and maintain proper tabs.
Restock bar supplies, garnishes, and ingredients as needed.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and featured cocktails.
Engage guests with conversation, recommendations, and an authentic New Orleans experience.
Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Current Louisiana Responsible Vendor (ATC) and Food Handler certifications (or ability to obtain before starting).
Minimum of 1-2 years of bartending experience preferred, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and local drink trends (e.g., daiquiris, hurricanes, craft cocktails).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism under pressure.
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods.
Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of bar tools and glassware.
