Job Description

Position Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to members and guests in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner. This role ensures a high-quality beverage experience consistent with the country club's standards of hospitality and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet members and guests promptly and courteously. Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including glassware, tools, and supplies. Monitor and manage inventory of beverages, mixers, and bar supplies; communicate shortages to management. Adhere to all state and local laws regarding alcohol service and member identification. Engage with members to create a welcoming atmosphere and provide personalized service. Assist in setting up and breaking down bar areas for special events, banquets, and private functions. Handle cash and member account transactions accurately and responsibly. Ensure compliance with all club safety, sanitation, and service policies. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Food & Beverage Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years of bartending experience; previous country club or upscale hospitality experience preferred. Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and mixology techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor. Current alcohol service certification (e.g., TIPS, SERV Safe Alcohol) preferred. Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 40 pounds. Must be able to bend, reach, and move efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.30 - $24.45 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
