Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-Time Barista/Cashier to join our vibrant cafe team. Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other menu items following established recipes and quality standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and transactions Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform accurate cash handling and cashiering duties Greet customers warmly, take orders efficiently, and deliver excellent customer service Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and customer spaces Restock supplies, manage inventory levels, and ensure the cafe remains organized and inviting Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and serving food items as needed Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service Follow all health regulations related to food safety and food handling

Skills

Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly desirable Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Effective communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
